Feast Day of Our Lady of Sri Lanka

Feast Day of Our Lady of Sri Lanka took place on the 04th of February 2026. Approximately 200 were in attendance. They hosted Our Lord in the Eucharist for adoration and celebrated Mass in the partially completed church building. Our Mother of Hope Apostolate was able to provide lunch, drinks and desserts for all who attended this beautiful event.

 

International Food Festival

International Food Festival was a fundraiser to raise funds for our church building project in Medirigiriya Sri Lanka. It consisted of Indian, Sri Lankan, Mexican, Peruvian, Greek & El Salvadorian Cuisine along with a Vendor with a presently trendy Dubai Chocolate. Many local crafters also took part in this event, showcasing all kinds of unique crafts and religious paraphernalia. Our guest of honor, VA Senator, Tara Durant also joined us and mingled with our guests. It was a hugely successful event.

Don Bosco “Shelter of Hope”

Completed project Don Bosco “Shelter of Hope”. Our Apostolate provided the shelter with 100 beds, 100 mattresses, 100 pillows and 100 sets of linens. In the pictures are Fr.Reginald Fernando, Our Sri Lanka Ambassadors Vasantha Randunuge, Shirly Perera and the hard working team of iron smiths who worked tirelessly to make the beds. Also in the picture are all the kids in the shelter were treated with sandwiches, cakes and drinks on the day of the opening ceremony.
